I finally got around to putting together a trip report from last years trip. It was interesting to see the aftermath of the 2021 fire.

Artery to Wanda, June 2022.

Thanks! Wonderful report, great photos...you found some great country to explore/enjoy...the photos were great: captured the Woodland with the deep blue sky, the long horizons, and that bit of loneliness/solitude one finds on those trips...
The part about Simeon Creek brings a smile...our trips through that part always brought boulders, mud, and impromtu portages...The canoe that left camp without you brought the same fears that always follow us...In Sig Olson's Lonely Land he mentions losing a canoe while in camp...My wife and I will read your story several times and drink from the passages/photos the joys of this place...Hope your travels for 2023 go well.

Miigwech!

It was nice sitting here and reading as you passed through familiar haunts.

Great trip report Hobbydog! I always appreciate the solo trip reports as that's where I tend to do my more challenging trips. The high water certainly adds an unpredictable element to these trips. Thanks for putting together such a great report! Miigwech!
