Usual suspects, sunfish, largemouth bass and pike.

I made it up to Trout for opener. Fishing was mixed. I got an eye on my first pitch of the year (cheating with Livescope). After that, the action was not hot, but we found enough to keep us chugging all opener day. I was lucky and snagged a fat 29" trolling a husky jerk in 6' just before our lunch break. My buddy popped a nice 27", again trolling. Same buddy also trolled up a large thick pike, guessing it has pushing 40".

Sunday was much slower, 1 walleye and a pike early for me out solo, didn't mark much in the area to focus on past 8am. I blame the flat water and clear skies. We mostly hung around camp in the shade during the day. We did a 3 hour run into Little Trout late that afternoon which was fun with some moderate action. We had our only double hookup of the trip that afternoon. Monday morning started slow, but by late afternoon, after some wind, fish were staging and sitting higher in the column and started chasing baits again. I pitched jigs on tuesday until 10am, got a few nice males before scooting to the portage.
