Nice! I have never used riggers but would like to give it a shot sometime. For now I’ve felt like spoons on leadcore and the #11 deep tail dancers have been adequate at this time of the year.
Enjoy your trip. We’ll be overlapping as usual but we decided to spend the whole trip on Saganaga this time around. We’ve always done day trips but I’m tired of missing the low-light bite windows so we’re changing it up this year and staying in a cabin on the Canadian side.

Adam, good luck.
I'm staying in a cabin on Shagawa. Buddy just canceled on me so I'll be winging it..
I have a P.P. Basswood and a Snowbank.
I also have a Day use Seagull but might cancel that because of buddy canceling.
I'm gonna try a few lakes south of Ely this year. Crescent and Dumbell.
Hope you have a great trip..
Send pics.

Wally that’s a great old photo!
Yogi, best of luck to you as well and enjoy the trip. I’ll report back. Been fishing sag 1-2 days a year for the last 4 years or so and haven’t scratched the surface. Went all in this year and hired a guide for the first day. Hoping that gives us some confidence for the rest of the week.

Going into Cirrus and Kasakokwog Lakes Quetico via Beaverhouse on June 24th for a 2 week trip. Can’t wait. 1st time fishing these 2 northern Quetico lakes.
Folks say there are some nice sized lakers in Cirrus. No portable downrigger on this trip. Of course, I am still after that 13 lb. trophy walleye … maybe this trip !

Did better than me. Touch windy .
Lost 4 nice fish by the boat.
What camp site you at?"
We are at site #4. Fished Shagawa again today... I caught 6 keepers and partner got blanked. He is no longer trash-talking the Minnesota State Fishing Set-up... slip bobber and leech.
