Looking at buying this one for the new to me canoe. Any thoughts or opinions on this one?

I am also struggling to find how to fit for the proper length for me? I know it’s supposed to be longer than a kayak paddle. Not sure if I need a 260 or a 280.

Thanks!

I paddle a Bell Magic. I have the out of production composite version of this paddle at 280 cm. Works well for me (6'2" 180lb.).

I have the wooden 280 and use it midships on a Penobscot 17 and a 17-foot Folbot Greenland II kayak. Thought about the 260 but this is almost certainly the optimal length for those two applications. They can have it when they pry it from my cold, water-wizened hands.

I have 2 BB 280cm paddles. I have never wished they were shorter.

I gave the Angler Ace to my son, and I use the Impression Solo. I like the feel of the wood and the spring of the blades. It's a lot heavier though. Very noticeable until you build up your shoulders.
