It has a metal blade with a handle :-)

May the rivers be crooked and winding, and your portages lonesome, leading to the most amazing view.

It’s good of you to pack it out and try to get it back the it’s rightful owner. I’m sure they won’t mind you using it so long as you were not chopping up rocks.
