Are there any campsites on Portage Lake? Also, any intel on the one campsite at the far end of Devilfish?

This website's lake finder shows two campsites on Portage Lake, one has a campsite rating. No intel about the campsite on Devilfish Lake.

Ah, my mistake. Different Portage Lake. The one I'm wondering about is just outside the BWCA, adjacent to Iron Lake

I know of one private home on that lake. If it’s outside the BWCA and is ant land, can you camp anywhere?

Looking at Google Earth, it appears there are two private cabins on Portage Lake. It also looks like there has been significant wind damage as the trees are laying one direction. The shoreline doesn’t look too camp friendly.

It looks like at least one campsite on Devilfish, however it's not rated. I haven't been there but hopefully someone else can fill in some details on what that site might look like.

Spent a night on Devilfish Lake in the campground last May and there were some real nice sites there but we got there late and surprisingly it was almost full. We got a mediocre site so moved on the next day to Esther Lake, about 5 miles south of there with nicer campsites. We did not see the site on Devilfish but the lake itself was intriguing and very pretty. Esther had better sites but the lake was not as nice. But we did catch some fish from shore there, 5 letter word starting with T.

That area seems quite remote, not sure what that campsite on Devilfish Lake is like but if you stayed there I am sure you would enjoy the views and the solitude.
