I just posted in the DIY Gear section about how I made my beaver fur trappers cap. I thought I'd also mention it here in case anyone is interested in giving it a try themselves - not everyone checks over there.

The instructions and pattern provided make it fairly easy to do. The 12 cut pieces (3 fur, 4 wool, and 5 fleece) just really fit together well. I’d say this is a project just about anyone could do of they wanted. There are a lot more how to details on the other thread.
