Excellent report and great photos. Fun to see some spots we've visited in years past, though many of those sure look different after the fires.

Very nice trip report with some amazing pictures!

Your 25 mile-day with 14 portages is most impressive. I've had some long days, but never that long.

Thanks! Yeah, that was a nice "tester". Just goes to show that with good weather and conditions you can go a long ways. Was my favorite day of the trip.

...thanks for sharing your experiences. The last paragraphs are wonderful: the joy of the Woodland Caribou, the need to return, and the feel of the landscape that will stay with you. Somewhere in your report, you mentioned wondering about Simeon Creek in a dry summer: it is very "challenging." But coming into the Bloodvein River country makes the journey worthwhile. Thanks for the portage work. Hope you can return often!!!
