So this is sort of asking-for-a-friend...I already own a Nemo Bugout.
For someone wanting to buy a lightweight (no poles) screen tent for a group of six, the options were CC$, Eureka NoBugZone and Nemo Bugout.
Looks like both Eureka and Nemo are no longer making those products...now it's just Cooke Custom Sewing. Great stuff of course, but a big net tent is $650.
So the question - are there any manufacturers that I'm missing?

There are some Chinese ones on Amazon. Otherwise not much out there anymore that I'm aware of.
Another poster here uses this one or one just like it and l think they liked it.
Might be tight for 6, but at that price and weight you could get 2.

SNS, if your friend is interested I have a CCS 15x15 1.9 oz. Tarp Tent that I'm going to be listing here for $400.00, and a 10x10 that I'm going to list for $300.00. They are awesome for larger groups and base-camping, but I travel fast and light so they don't suit my tripping style. I always end up tripping with my 10x12 1.1 oz. tundra tarp instead. I see we are neighbors as I'm in Woodbury!
Endeavor to persevere.

usm, I am over in Woodbury as I read this…funny. Will check with them on your CCS options; thanks for the consideration!

I brought the Eureka NoBugZone CT13 last year to Sawbill. I used it with a couple of telescopic poles that extend to about 7 feet. It's not terribly heavy or bulky in the carrying bag and it saved our hides during late May when the bugs can be terrible in camp. I probably could have gone with the CT11 size for my party of two, but for 5-6 people, the CT11 would be too small.

We usually don’t take one, but last year we went with another couple and I was worried about bugs in the evenings. I didn’t want to be forced into our tents too early at night, so I bought a 11 x 7’9” 2.3 pound screen tarp from Amazon last year for $89. I set it up in the backyard, and it seemed to be ok. Not great quality, but ok for a few trips at least. Ended up leaving it in the car, didn’t want the extra weight. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BYVSL22V?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title carry the extra weight.

Just got my bug net from Onewind. Amazon....$65. Its just the net....no tarp. I'm going to hang it under my CCS tarp so I didn't need the extra weight/cost of the model that has the integrated tarp. Specs don't give the set up size but pics show 4 chairs and table inside....so I think 6 people could sit inside comfortably. Zipper entry on each end, 6 stakes included for the corners and extended ends. I'm going to hang it off tarp Ridgeline with prussiks. Has nylon cloth all around bottom, with sod cloth, so netting material doesn't snag all the ground trash. Stuff sack with some cordage and stakes in it weighs just under 3 pounds and is about a foot long and 7 inch diameter. Too big to set up in garage so I'll have to wait for nicer weather so I can hang tarp and figure out my method to hang it under my tarp. I've been hanging my Sea to Summit net under tarp but this one will be a touch different.
"What could happen?"

We have the CT11…it’s a nice but not necessary item. I rig it without poles on a ridgeline. It really helped one trip when we had a tent rain fly wet out after 12 hours of rain. I have also used it to sleep in. I feel as if it’s well made. Stitching and zippers are solid.

The screen tarp has transformed our trips according to my buddies. I'd agree. It's great to have a common area that can be enjoyed well into the evening when the pesky bug are out.
I've enjoyed using both the Nemo and the Eureka. There are others out there now that are much cheaper knock-offs. They would probably work well too.
I prefer the tarp to the free-standing tent for two reasons. One, no poles. Two, more flexible set up. If there isn't an area large enough for a full-blown tent, the tarp can me adjusted.

Bjfinnegan: "I'd probably take my chance on the OneWind Mosquito net and pair it underneath a Noah's Tarp or similar 12' sized option.

This is what I would try as well if I didn't have my CCS lean.
