LumberCamp 2025 back in February. May be the last one on this slice of land as a cabin is due to be built, hence why we have been clearing what we can. Two nights. They first only got down to 15 *F and was calm. Second day we got snow and the night was a lot windier and down to 2*F but well insulated in the hammocks. Coffee and meals and dry out in the hot tent. Skunked on ice fishing but had a blast!

aaaahhhh, I needed a refreshing look at winter camp. sick of the summer heat and we're heading back to the 90s for a few days. looking forward to fall weather soon - thanks for posting the photos, it helps me get through these dog days of summer.

Agree 100%--- depending on your latitude- but for the BWCA, losing 140-160 seconds of daylight by mid/late Aug with a declining sun angle.

This summer has been not so hot in IA, but brutish on moisture both rain and dewpoint.
Can't wait for winter!!!
