What are your thoughts? Anyone else heading in Fri morning? Heading through Agnes to llc. What circumstances do you cancel a trip?

The wind is shifting to be coming from the north and west. The smoke should clear up pretty quickly up in the BWCA once this front hits.

Smoke shouldn’t be a problem this weekend. Wind, rain, cold, and possibly snow might all be reasons to push your trip back.

The weekend of 5/31 - 6/2 has "unhealthy for everyone" levels of air quality due to Canadian wildfire smoke. The sunrise and sunset colors have been deep, rich red.

I have asthma and this weekend was very rough for me in Minneapolis. A week ago, at Alder Lake, my breathing was fine, though I don't know if anything shifted or became worse in that time.

I am in Thief River Falls MN a couple hundred miles west of Ely.
Yesterday I didn’t go out because the smoke was very bad.
Today we are close to normal. With the weather moving that way I would imagine it would be good over there in a day or two.
Have a good trip and be careful with fires.

I also have asthma and I just got home after being on Smoke Lake for a few days. LOL . Smoke Lake. Definitely hazy but I was fine. This morning at home in central MN having coffee with the windows open I can taste it and feel it in my lungs.
