Hello All
Looking for portage boot recommendations, open to all recommendations but I wet portage.

Just shortened my trip due ( just got home tonight) to catastrophic boot failure ( along with 5 other pieces of gear breaking). After 15 years my chota Caney Forks completely disintegrated, I had to duct tape (always bring emergency duct tape with) them onto my feet to get out. I still spent 2 nights on Horse lake anytime is better then none.

While I cannot comment on the wet portaging bit, Salomons without a doubt the best boots I've ever owned. I have two pairs, one is a "light" hiking and another more oriented to winter/cold weather. Comfort/wearability/quality is simply unmatched though.

Downside is that you can expect to pay through the nose for all of the good stuff. I got mine due to unused gear allowance at work. Likely wouldn't have otherwise, but that would have been my mistake. Unfortunately I cannot say how they perform wetfooting... I'm sure they'd be comfortable still, but how they'd hold up....?
