Switched this to its own thread. They launched sunday from Little Caribou...in snow. Made it to Caribou, next day only to west end of Funger due to portage blow downs, yesterday made it to end of Lonebreat Bay and fought bad headwinds. Off today for Whitewater where I think they will layover a day and snoop around the Beckwith cabins.

Short day today. Going to paddle from their protected cove up to Best Island to the big beach site to reset camp, then up around the island to tour the Beckwith cabins. They have had days of NE winds, today says north winds 10-20 which isn't great but they will be mostly protected. Tomorrow they're going to head for Whiteclay i believe

Another layover day on Whitewater. More wind yesterday along with fatigue and canoe issues made relaxing in camp seem the best choice. Found a 2x4 in camp to "fix" canoe issue and less wind today so they headed up to see Beckwith cabins. They are behind intended schedule and have the toughest leg of planned trip ahead down to Cliff lake. They may change plans and take their time getting to Whiteclay for a few days and then catch a float plane out next week
