I heard about the Sunday night Auroras from a couple who also headed home that Monday. I missed out since the clouds rolled in off Lake Superior around 7pm. It was partly cloudy by 1am when nature woke me, but the light show must have been over by then.

Best i ever seen. The flashing, pulsating, waves of light made it one to remember.

We didnt have a fire that night, just sat by the water and watched the show

Cool. Some never get to see the show even in Minnesota or Wisconsin.

I tried to take a bunch of pics,
I think we will remember this loop as the best one ever, capped off with the Aurora, right now im nursing soar muscles and still in a daze from the trip. It was really active for 3hrs or so.

That is definitely one of the harder routes in that time frame.
