As I recall your original post, the tear was in a seam. My approach would depend on whether the seam material has unraveled to the point that it won't hold stitches. Photo?

It has unraveled. About 2-3". The material would have to be gathered some.

Yeah, I've had that issue on a couple packs. If you can gather it enough to be 3/8"-1/2" inside the unraveled area with your stitching, sew it up, then trim the frayed edges and liberally coat the resewn area with tent seam sealer. If gathering will impact a big area, a pack corner, or will add to the stress on the seam, I'd rip out more stitching, sew in some patches that duplicate the edge geometry of the old material, then sew it together without any gathering. Again, coat the sewn area with seam sealer, and if you see the start of unraveling anywhere else along the pack's seams, trim the frayed areas and seal them, too.

Sewed it up with 4lb Fireline. Looks good. Now I just need to seam seal, thanks.
