I can't think of a better father-son trip than one in the BW.
This one looks like a classic that will be long remembered.

Great photos, always a smile on his face.
did he ever say, "i could stay out here forever" ?
i enjoy reading the reports with kids involved, they usually look so relaxed and in the moment.

Thanks Jerry! It was a great trip. One of his first BWCA related memories was meeting you at Canoecopia a few years back. He still talks about it.

He's never seemed more at peace than he is out there. I look forward to it more than just about everything else.

A regular quote from him was, "This is the most beautiful place I've been. I love how quiet it is." He always kept himself busy, even on the rainy days. He'd throw on his jacket and go wander around near our camp. When he wasn't fishing that is!

We're already planning our trip for the coming season, and I can't wait to get back.
