We are in Quetico folks.

Facing SE and just a short ways onto the lake after a very challenging set of rarely-used portages; I passed through this lake but did not stay put.

Facing East.

Laker lake; I keep telling myself it was just a fluke that I caught nothing.

As we face east, coming into the central part of the lake,
Cerberus scans left:
And Cerberus scans right:

Not shown: Cerberus' third head, looking back at me with disapproval as I shank another cast.

I believe this lake only has one campsite, but it is a crown jewel...

Here's a shot of that site from the water, facing SE.

This lake can be a pass-through lake as it lines up with a well-used travel corridor, but it is not the primary way most folks take, so it sees much less traffic.

Let's wrap this up team - don't want to hold up NTL with this dead weight...

So two portages in/out of this lake. The one to the south is at the end of this channel, and leads to the beginning of something new.

It was windy and the water warm; I tried to fish deep for lakers but had no way to stay stationary enough to make it feasible.

Anchor sounds like a winner, Almost Canadian, but I'll drop Anubis in as another guess.

Finally! Well done. Next I was going to talk about basketball nets and rocks....

You're up!

Did not know there were northerns in there.

The "fluke" was more about the anatomy of an anchor, like shank and crown...

My not catching something is no fluke!
