We have a winner.

My next clue was going to be this beautiful brook trout lake has unconventional camp furniture. A few chairs and bench made from the copious shell rock there

I due a question, while I’m thinking about it.

I heard an owl at this campsite that I haven’t heard before. It started with the standard “who-who-who” then end with almost a growl mixed with the sound of a grouse thumbing a log. It did it for three or four times then never again. I really enjoyed the experience and was curious what owl it was.

I was here in mid September.

Sounds like maybe a barred owl.

I liked that campsite, small but homey. We never stayed there, just checked on it with the Rangers. Funny story, we checked on the campsite on the Border Route Trail across the lake and there was an outward bound group staying there with teenagers. One of the teenagers saw my coworkers badge and said. What are you guys, the campground police?
