Would be neat if there was a V slot designed in that would catch the cord under tension and negate the need to tie a knot.

Nice! There aren’t always branches available, especially for us shorter people. How long and wide is it?

About 3" tall and 3/4" thick

Great idea. Where can I get some?

You can download the design and have someone with a 3-D printer make them for you.

So maybe it’s already self cinching? I didn’t notice the detail until the latest photo

HME hunting strap for just over $7. Holds a full waist pack and other accessories. Have used it for 10-20# of gear across the three hooks. Weighs very little. Cheap, light weight, and easy to use. Seems easier to me.

I was just going to say that I made some on a 3D printer just like this for my saddle setup.

This is what I use. Very convenient.

If you want options, search "saddle hunting gear hooks". Lots of manufactures, most are lightweight.

I never thought ot bring that to the BWCA, but i might now. I have an amsteel rope with hooks i use hunting that would be an easy item to pack in.
