For Iowans and nearby folks: a one day event with lots of great presentations (kind of a mini-Canoecopia) in Waverly, Iowa. Includes a presentation by youngest woman to paddle the Border Challenge (whose proud father is known to post on this board, at times...).

Held at the "W", the athletic complex for Wartburg College, on the upper level. Nice venue and free parking on west side of complex, check lot signs. Store open after event, with discounts....

I really enjoyed seeing everyone. For me, the Paddlefest is the official start to planning the year's paddling calendar.

Her presentation was awesome. Hard to believe a 16-year-old girl could be that poised and entertaining.

Any more upcoming paddle events you know of in Iowa? Just relocated from Mn. Getting used to a land of rivers vs lakes.
