Hello! I am planning a trip to visit the Hegman Lake pictographs on Feb 14. Wondering if anyone has been out there recently and can give any info on conditions or things to keep in mind. I have never done a winter walk/snowshoe to them but have in summer.
Any info is good - I appreciate it!

It’s a great hike. Watch out for where the creek flows into the lake by the portage. Other than that, it should be a great hike. Best Pictos I’ve seen.

There can be slushy spots. Talk to a local closer to your date/14th.

Was a great hike on 2/14!
Solid packed trail, ice was very thick and safe.
One small open water section by 2nd portage because of stream. Easy to go around.
Should be a great hike for you tomorrow
