On the site we have a "Trip Reports" forum and also a "Canoe Videos" forum. The Canoe Videos sub had only 2 videos posted in 2025.

I love reading everyone's written trip reports on the one forum, but I also love watching folks' video reports. I am talking about people who don't do the youtube thing for money or the superhype or produced ones by people trying to be the next Al Linder or Ron Sharra ... but rather the basic family, regular people trips/channels.

It seems like if you just search you tube, for BWCA or the like, you are inundated with the professional youtubers with 30k views and its hard to find just regular groups, solos and families tripping.

The canoe video forum here on the messageboard is much more controlled, and basically works like the trip report forum complete with lakes visited etc...

So, I'm just encouraging all of the regular paddlers who have trip videos to post it on the subforum here on the message board. I would love to see your trips!

On a lark, I talked into my clicker and said ‘YouTube BWCA videos’. There are a bunch, and some really good fishing ones about the area I am going to this June. One night I fell asleep watching one and when I woke up it was still playing BWCA videos like 5 hours later.

Well I’ll be….. I never even saw that video reports section…. I have nothing to contribute to it but will happily watch what gets posted.

+1, never noticed it. That being said, not my favorite format, too many videos of fish...LOL.

I missed that there was a Canoe Videos forum too. I guess I always upload my YouTube trip report slide shows to the Trip Reports forum.
My YouTube slide shows are mostly still shots with a few videos sprinkled in.
