OneMatch: "Myself and my talented band will be attending once again. Alas, Jackfish and I have no bets to reconcile this year, just in case anyone was wondering. "
You guys just need to find something obscure to wager like bobsledding or Bucknell University v.s. American University.

bnics, we're just a bunch of normal, everyday canoeing folks getting together having a nice evening chatting about our trips past and future. Have a beverage or two, mingle, eat, laugh, joke and renew old friendships (or, in your case, start new friendships). Most of us only see each other once a year at this event so we all get to finally put a face to a board name.
I could joke around and say we're all a bunch of introverted, clique-ish, stuck-up canoeing snobs, but nothing could be further from the truth. It's a great group. I hope you can join us. Bring a friend!

bnics: "I've been to Canoecopia for a few years now and been a member of this board as well. I've always been interested in the dinner meet up.
What can I expect? Being newer I'm only a little nervous!"
Don't be nervous. This is the best group of people you will ever spend time with. Everyone is friendly and while some of them are a bit quirky. . .it just adds to the fun! This will be our first time in many years to not be able to go and we will be with all of you in spirit, if not physically.

BWCA: "Bucknell University v.s. American University. "
AU (-6) will be heavily favored.
We are talking about them playing a game of Ultimate, right?

Chicagored: "I can't believe I'm going to waste another night hanging out with you ne'er-do-wells!"
Glad you're joining us, Mitch! We always have room for one more! LOL

It'll be fun to be at Canoecopia again - and I even get to present this year. I look forward to seeing folks.

Joining for the first time this year. My true paddling partner, my wife Lynn, cannot make it so my new tripping partner Greg will be joining me. Looking forward to meeting many of the faces behind the usernames! - Jeff

weebs: "I'm new-ish to BWCA.com and am looking forward to meeting you folks. I'm dragging my canoe buddy, Bill, along. The poor sap."
Ha, you will have to drag him out of the event if you want to leave early.
