I’m planning my first trip this August and looking at routes. General question:
If I’m traveling a route that includes Iron Lake, Argo (perhaps Roland), Dark Water and Minn, beginning and ending in Lac La Croix (Bottle Portage and Black Robe), should we do this clockwise or counter clockwise?

either direction is beautiful, plus it looks different if you go one way in and turn around and come out through the lakes.
