New Trip Report posted by BonzSF

Trip Name: Return of Cs in Q.
Here's my trip report from 2024. I meant to post it much sooner but things got busy. No names were changed to protect the innocent. And I just finished it so i might have messed up a few details. The photos are all mine though with no AI. And this time they were all taken on an iPhone 13.

Entry Point: Lake Agnes Quetico

great report and photos, esp with a phone. i like that the lack of fishing wasn't a dark spot on your trip. sounds like the nice campsites and time to relax and catch up with each other worked out just as well as catching some fish.
beautiful area of Quetico.

Nice report; thanks for sharing. Fun to see some familiar campsites, portages and lakes.

Nice report on some familiar territory. Yes, the straight, narrow connector after the portage from South Lake into the North Bay of Basswood has some thick water!!

I appreciate the hammock reports. Too bad the website to which you are referring hasn't incorporated that feature.

Heading some of that way this summer and your report was a great source of recon. I believe you may have mis-numbered the island site on Agnes. I have that one on my list and your review underscores my desire to check it out.

Thanks for the kudos. I’ve gained so much knowledge and information on this site. I’m happy to be able to pay it back with some information and experiences from my trips. And one of these times, I’m going to actually fish!
I’m pretty sure the site on Agnes was 515 (according to another site) it’s a small island north of the island with the pictographs at the north end of the lake. There’s one on the island to the east but isn’t as highly rated. Though we saw a few groups head over that way when they saw it us. I don’t recall referring to a hammock website but let me know what you want to find out. I’ve slept in hammocks for over 50 years and there is a definitely a learning curve involved. I’ll try to give any advice of I can think.

I think it's 551. Have a look. Just a transposition error.

Yeah, I've been in a hammock now for about five years. Not going back to a tent. Only downside is that I can't risk using a pee bottle in a hammock! All I meant about the other site is that it has a category for tent sites but no equivalent for hammock compatibility.
