“Construction is underway. Work will begin with roundabout construction at 26th Avenue East and utility relocation at 40th Avenue East. Motorists can expect traffic control changes to start on that day. Starting at 40th Avenue East, London Road will only be open north of the intersection to northbound traffic. Southbound traffic will be detoured on to Superior St to 21st Ave E. There will also be a closure of London Road from the west at 26th Avenue East and a closure of 26th Avenue East at London Road. Traffic is expected to be in this configuration through mid-June.

“Starting in mid-June, construction will continue at 26th Ave E at the roundabout. Work will be taking place on mainline London Road between 40th Ave E and Lester River. The road will only be open to northbound traffic. Southbound traffic will continue to be detoured on Superior St to 21st Ave E.”

There will also be a Lake County Highway 2 resurfacing project starting this summer. The Highway Department sent a postcard before the dates were set, but is expected to last 4 to 6 weeks with 10 minute delays in the affected stretch.
