Hi guys - Our crew this year looks like my buddy & his wife, 2 college freshman girls and me. June 4-10th. I have read a bunch of trip reports that pointed out non fishing things to do in the area but I wasn’t smart enough to write them down - hikes, waterfalls etc. I’m hoping you guys can share your knowledge and save me the time to search for it and give me a short list. I think it would be good to have a diversion/excursion whatever besides fishing, for the girls especially. We are planning layover days on SAK & Ogish.

Thanks a million for your help! scat

Eddy Falls, which flows into SAK from Eddy. About halfway through that portage, there are various cutoff trails to waterfall pools. It's a cool place to take a shower and a photo.

The Enchanted Forest portage

Thunder Point

Eddy Falls

Paulson - Sea Gull portage

Alpine - Jasper waterfalls

Mueller Falls

...a few others. You can hike up to the top of the palisades on Sea Gull Lake. I believe the oldest cedar tree in Minnesota is also located on Sea Gull.

I think I remember a hike off Ogish to some falls from another thread, maybe with a bridge..
