Hola,

So just wondering if anyone has ever tried bushwhacking into Soroll from Glenmore?

And if so, they would tell me I am crazy for considering it, as once you get through the bush, you have to slog through a swamp.

Or, a few people have done it, and there is a discernible path through the bush, and it is not a swamp; it is walkable high grass.

I know, probably not a good idea, just a thought at this point.

I would guess you're not going to find a trail into that lake. However, it's a pretty short portage through the woods and based on the topography, portage alongside the boggy area between the two lakes probably has the most level path.

It doesn't look too terrible. I've seen and done much worse!

We have done that years ago and it is a very pretty little lake with clear water. We didn’t see any paths. Land your canoe east of the low land area, take your heading and stay east of the marsh as this is a gradual slope keeping you out of the marsh. You will pop out of the woods on the lake. Good luck and bring a pole ??

Tom,

Thanks for the note and the advice. Like you, I believe I have done worse. Hoping this will work out.
