Anyone hear if the Slim Lake fire reported yesterday was at campsite 2315 ? Seems like it was pretty small (.7 acres) but the location on this site seems to match the lat and long from the Watch Duty app. Not alot of sites in that Slim, Rice, Hook area and we go in the Slim Lake Entry next month so wanted to see if there was anyone with knowledge of damage to that site. Great that its 100% contained already.

We were camping at the southern most campsite when the fire occured. The response from the fire fighters was amazing! We actuality saw the plane and helicopter dumping water before we even saw smoke. The fire did not reach the campsite, but the burn area did reach approximately 75 yards south of the site across a small bay.
