This was taken in Collins Lake.,ONT. ( I think very close to train video) First Nation Ojibway bugging out- leaving literally everything behind.

Are those engines built to be fire resistant? They didn't seem to be remarking about heating up in there. Also, the engines run on diesel so likely not going to ignite like more volatile fuels. Not that waiting for a green light in the middle of an inferno is anyone's cup of tea...

I always thought being dropped off by a train in the middle of the wilderness to start your canoe trip would be epic.

I first saw this first on a train forum. My first thought was drive the dang train out of there, but they couldn't because it is on a single track mainline and another train was stalled ahead, not venturing into the fire which blocked this train in until the other passes and clears the track ahead. I think I read there was hazardous material in the cars on this train, prob in tank cars. Good thing it seemed to peter out at the end, ran out of fuel looks like.

Collins Station is gone used to fly over this on the way to Spring Lake just west of Gnome Lake, Tamarack Lake. Collins Road took you from hwy 527 to Collins Lake parking lot and the Collins FN used boats to access the community. This is how they saved themselves and escaped by boat . Canadian Forces rescued 11 teenage campers and 4 guides from Minnesota's YMCA Camp Menoygn at Collins Ontario Wabakimi Provincial Park as well. Fire Dryden 13 now being called Thunder Bay 36 the largest in Ontario History.
