Any idea how long it takes to paddle from the Lake One entry point to Insula Lake?

Short answer, paddling at 3 mph, double portage at 2 mph, about 7 hours. Long answer;

Took my group about 7 to get to Insula, 8 to get to the north end. Double portaging.

Those numbers sound right.

Newbie scouts (15-16 year olds) made it to just short of the Insula Portage on Hudson in 6 hours. They probably paddled 2-3 miles for every mile I did :) Probably could have made Insula in 7 hours…but they were tired…made them stop. Rest of the trip was pretty easy for them after that.

So could be faster…bad weather could be slower…
