Does anyone know if I could launch a canoe on Snowbank Lake at the end of the little peninsula where Snowbank Lodge is located? Google Maps says there is an access there, and shows a roadway to that spot, and its map shows a few cars parked there. I would like to fish the northwest corner of Snowbank and that would save me the much longer paddle from the standard entry point. And it would keep me off the wide open part of the lake. At this point in life, I am afraid I am looking for shorter paddles. Any advice would be appreciated. Thx.

It’s not technically a public access. I think the Forest Service uses it and maybe the people that have leased cabins. I’d talk to Snowbank Lodge. They might help you out.

The people at Snowbank Lodge got right back to me after I wrote them and answered my question. So very nice of them - a class place. The answer is that you can launch from there.
