Trip Report Contest: Any trip report published monthly is in the running for winning the prize.

September 2025. Leaving Tiger bay and hoping to find the Bottle portage

Sun starting to rise through the fog on Ham Lake.

Moose with no shame. Knife lake south fork (I know it's south arm but how can you not...), August 29th. Out with the NMW crew. Facing mostly south and east. We drifted with almost no paddling for about 15 minutes before he took offense and returned to the woods. A group we met on Thunder Point were able to find him the next day nearby.
