Typically I trip with just one other buddy, so we take one boat and car and do loops, lollipops, out and backs, etc.

I'm heading out of Moose Lake EP on Wednesday with a group of 5, and at least two cars. This is a rare opportunity for me to do a self shuttle trip, and leave a vehicle at another EP for take-out on Sunday. Though three of the five are first timers, this is a fit, motivated, capable group who is packing light.

Any route suggestions?

A tow on Moose Lake or are you paddling? So much depends on the wind and weather.

Snowbank exit should be doable, and isn’t that far down the road from Moose.

I suppose you also have the option of just returning to Moose if something goes haywire and picking the car up from your intended exit. For instance, bailing out through Vera and Ensign, vs. doing a large loop through Knife, Kek, Frasier, Thomas, Ima, Disappointment, etc.

Paddle, never done a tow before. I can typically make it from Moose EP to first portage in a couple hours. Can't justify the cost of a tow to save an hour and a half or so. Was thinking Snowbank. I've done a shorter route from Moose to Ensign to Snowbank. Maybe leave a car at Snowbank. Push east through Ensign or Knife, then down and back west.

I did a bigger loop through Moose, Knife, South Arm, Eddy, Kek, Frasier, Thomas, Alice, Insula, back up to Thomas, then up through Ima and Ensign. That was 8 days with a layover included. Cutting multiple lakes out, you could swing into Snowbank easily enough.

Lake One seems a little bit too far for the timeframe you have. Doable, but lots of paddling through big water and the wind needs to be down.

I agree with Achemer, there is a nice loop you can do coming out on Snowbank. I'd look at Moose, Knife, Kek, Thomas, Ima, Disappiontment.

This, or similar, might be the ticket.
