I thought this would be fun. List all the snack foods we bring for our kids. By kids I mean age old enought to eat through 17 years of age.

For the baby:
We bring a baby mil. Its a hand powered food grinder that is very small. Then when we have something he can eat we just grind it up for him. We also buy baby food in plastic containers.

For the toddlers-Elementary:
Fruit snacks, ginger snaps, Cheerios, smores (But very messy with young kids so we only take it for one day),ramin noodles (they eat it like potato chips lol)

Things not to bring for this age: vanilla wafers, hard candy for the young ones

For the teens:
Jiffy pop popcorn, candy (not any kind that melt), smores, gorp, jello cheese cake

When my daughter was young I would string Cherrios, FruitLoops, etc.. on dental floss and make necklaces. It kept her busy in the canoe and was a great snack.

My parents always brought fruit snacks for us. I still bring them, and will bring them for my kids.
