This is a route I really want to try someday. Seems like this September has been just about perfect for canoe trips. It's my favorite month to go too with no bugs.

It's cool you can spend time with your brother like this. That last photo is really good. Thanks for posting.

This was one of the nicer routes we have experienced recently. Lots of quiet and lovely lakes.

Nice trip report. I'm planning a 10-day solo trip next Aug/Sept from LIS through LLC and out Moose R. Your description of the path through the northern lakes makes me think I'd like to try that. Thanks for the tips on campsites and muddy portage landings.
