Hey Gang, I'm a new member to the XC ski group. My wife and I went skiing at Sylvainia Wilderness in the UP last Sunday and Monday. Just wanted to say if you can make the trip that it is well worth it. Only Been XC skiing for about five years now and the Sylvainia experience was hands down the best I ever had. The old growth forest in the winter was awesome and we had the place to ourselves. Tom M

My husband and his brother are skiing in Ironwood WI next week-- is that anywhere near Sylvania?

Yes Gutmon lots of fresh snow over a nice and easy to follow furrow like trail, and Tremolo ,Sylvainia is right on the Wisco/UP border near the town of Land-o-Lakes,WI about 50 or 60 miles east of Ironwood. The main entrance to the wilderness is near the town of Watersmeet, MI. Tom m
