Apart from Dahlberg Divers and bunny flies, does anyone have any favorite streamer patterns for pike flies? Thanks.

Light spruce fly. Something different to look at then bulky flies. Fish it fast.

#2s or #4s. It's difficult to find badger feathers for bigger then that. It's more about the quick darting motion then size. Also something about this color combination that fish respond to.

I use this almost exclusively for shallow pike, or fish it on a sinking line for deeper applications. The tail is Bestway Super Hair, the wing/body is crosscut rabbit strip. The Super Hair tail keeps the fly light for all day casting, and it takes a pounding from the toothy ones better than rabbit strips. Palmer the rabbit strip up the body, use 5 minute epoxy on the thread head, and throw in a mono weedguard for fishing weedy bays. Good color combos are black and yellow, chartreuse and white, red and white, and all chartreuse.
