Your trip is over :-( Your GPSr contains new tracks, new waypoints, and new routes. What do you do with your data?
- Do you load it to your PC?
- Archive it on your PC?
- Just leave it on your GPSr, so you'll have it for your the next trip.
- Do you share it with your trip mates?
- Do you use a web-based site to share your information?

Corsair -
I also take everything off of my GPSr shortly after a trip. I've archived everything on my pc based upon where/when I went. Occasionally, I'll upload a map to google maps for others to view. Here's a trip I took in 2008.
Let me know if you would like instructions on how to create a google map.

Delorme Topo programs work with the Delorme GPS units and can show tracks and routes with their profiles displaying distances, elevation, speed, etc.
Will post some screenshots when I get time.

here you go...
create gpx file from your GPSr (common software: Garmin Mapsource, EasyGPS, DeLorme, etc.)
open gpx file with Google Earth
right click on the "new place" listed. It probably says "GPS Device" and save it as a google kmz file.

assuming that you have a gmail account, if not create one here
Open Google Maps, select my maps, then create new map.
select the import link, find the kmz file that you just created.
update the title, etc.
select done to save the new map.
