We had a beautiful day yesterday to get out and ride, high got up to 70. Wife and I took advantage and did a nice easy 60.4 mile ride. Averaged 15.7 mph. I have about 405 miles for the year so far. I ended with 6079 for 2010 and will try to ride that number again this year!

2 feet of snow on the ground here with lows below zero forecast for the week so no riding here. You'll have to join the XC Ski private forum to track my winter obsession. I am looking forward to getting back on the bike again though.

quote Buster: "Riding from Tucson to Long Beach starting March 10th...Living in Minneapolis I've have no time on the bike during the winter but have spent a considerable amount of time at the gym....I hopping for good tail winds."
Awesome Buster. In 1984, I biked from Mpls to NY city. Quite a trip. Took the Transcanadian Highway through Ontario. Man, those were some big logs on some big trucks on a narrow highway. I was too young to be scared.
Be safe.

Okay, Summer is almost here, I am at 2325 miles and getting ready to ride an individual 100 mile ride in a couple of weeks and an organized 100 miler June 11 for Charity. Anyone else, wearing the rubber on the wheels out?

It's been a slow summer for me for riding. I had foot surgery in late June so didn't ride before that due to pain and have just started riding seriously again here in the last couple of weeks. Did a 25-mile ride today on the Paul Bunyan Trail which was nice. 57 degrees when I started the ride. I have been riding around the neighborhood on my mountain bike and hope to get out and ride the new world-class trails in the Cuyuna Mine Pits a few times this fall.

Hey everyone! Just finished the Hotter n Hell 100 last weekend. Did the 102 mile route in 5:31 minutes, averaged 18.5. It was the hottest ride in it's history air temp was 109, and after 12:00 the road temps went upwards of 125! Wife did 100k 63 miles and averaged 18.3, a great ride for her!
Distance so far for the year is a little over 5200, I believe I will get above my 6000 goal for the year!
Happy Riding!

Wow! Congratulations. That's a pretty darn hot ride.
I hope you make your 6000 goal. I have never tracked miles. I should try doing that next season.
Take care! Don't get heat exhaustion down there.
