Thanks for the great trip report and photos Hillbilly. I'm glad the fishing and weather were great. It's nice that you got to spend time with your brother and friend in Quetico.
I really like the photo of the fish fillets on the plate.
In the last photo is that guy retrieving the single man boat that blew offshore or is he just taking a swim with it?

What's with the fish hook in the hand? OUCH!

I agree about the fish fillet picture. Interesting perspective. And good group shots to remember your trip by...glad you had a good one!

Not trying to be the park ranger or the fun police, but wanted to point out a couple things I saw in your pictures:

Is that a glass 1.75 of Jim Beam? Probably shouldn't continue bringing that glass along...put it in plastic please.

I hope that picture of you with the Schmidt's beer cans is on Lac La Croix (taken by the towboat driver?), not in the Park. Buy plastic if you want a few beers into the Park with you.

Could save you a ticket/fine...

Loved the pictures of an area of the Park I enjoy visiting. Thanks.

thanks for the tips whitepine. FYI, we packed out all our trash plus a lot that was left by other campers, especially in the fire pits. Not to mention cleaning up tons of toilet paper left all over one of the 5* camps on brent.

On the hook that little mishap came out clean with the old monofilament trick.

Canoe floating away was a little joke we played on my bro while having lunch one day... my brother was also practicing getting into the canoe from the water without flipping not an easy feat.
