After he was caught red handed (brown handed?) eating our food for the next two nights, we sent Yogi into a timeout so he could fully understand why what he had done was bad. Here you see him hanging his head in shame.

I'm not eligible to win this month, but wanted to share this one anyway. I still get the chills thinking about hearing him coming through the brush that morning...

I have quite a few photos of this particular bull. I chose this one because a. It was the first full body shot I got of him b. The photograph is mostly straight c. I did not have the zoom on at all. I was roughly thirty-five feet from this guy. It was one of the most intense experiences of my life.
I wanted to share this other one for fun. I saw these two about 15 hours prior to seeing the bull. About 10:30 the night after I saw the cow and calf I heard a couple moose calling in the woods behind me. Very cool.
Both these photos were taken on Horsehoe Lake near the head of the South Brule river mid September 2010

And what's up with the left front leg...?"
Hahaha! I hadn't noticed the red on the hindquarters. Good catch doc. The pic was taken in August, so not calfing related. Wolf encounter is a possibility. The front leg is just pushing water (high shutter speed).

Good catch. That's all the proof needed. Open the season I say.

Great picture. I haven't seen one of those since I was a kid.
