Well, I have the kit for my Dragonfly but in addition to the leatherman I carry and the other supplies you have mentioned, I have two splices for tent poles - aluminum tube - and a piece of bungee for pole repair. I also have some of those tarp grippers - which I use for close pins unless a grommet or tie tears out. And of course some cordage. I'm looking for my Exped repair kit - want that above all else! I'd like to look into one of those super duct tapes. Needles and thread includes safety pins - very useful also. Over the years, all I've used are the wire ties, safety pins, and duct tape once - to patch a puncture in the canoe.

Gorilla tape
Patch kit for my pad
Pocket knife
I guess that that's about it.
I carried more for years and never once used it.
Since I bring spare glasses, I do not take a repair kit for those.
