...for being kid-friendly.

(except for that one vendor last year who didn't like my child being in her booth...but I'll let that one slide, LOL)

There is a child-care area at Canoecopia each year, for kids 15 months to 8 years (horray for not requiring kids be potty trained). It's for up to two hours at a time and I have used it and have been very happy with it.

This year they are adding a Kids Paddle Fest. I hope my four-year-old is not too young, because it sounds fun.

Good on ya, Canoecopia!

the 2 years I went they did not offer the child care. We don't go anymore becaues its to far to drive with our 3 and cost to much. But there booths are very family friendly. When we were there we spent hours in that booth that has that hut. The lady at that booth was so nice

LOL. Most of the vendors are great. Especially the boat vendors...I thought some might get annoyed with the kids climbing in and out of the boats.

The one that didn't like us was a fancy footwear vendor. They had a path that you could walk on made up of different materials so you could feel the different ones with your fancy new shoes. Rocks, logs, etc. Well, Linnea loved it and went over and over it, fast. Linnea has two speeds: fast and off. Anyway, I was watching Linnea and if someone came along who wanted to walk on it I'd make her wait and let the person do it. Otherwise I was letting her go. But the woman did not like us at all. I think maybe she thought Linnea would fall down, but I know my kid and she didn't. Whatever...what do they expect when they make such a temping demo? ;-)

I took my kids to Canoecopia last year and most likely will this year too. I was wondering about the PaddleFest too and what the age requirements were. My boys are 4 too.

I remember the footwear place too...my kids were all over the display too!
