So, here's my second proposition. Does it only seem obvious to me? I've worked in Christian organizations and secular organizations and I see so many leaders so often use power and fear rather than love. It drives me crazy!
It's especially tough in this economy because with scarce jobs leaders know they can intimidate followers. How do we turn this around?
Also, when you're "trippin" what do you do when one of your group slides into the power or fear mode? How do you get them to think differently?
I have never had that problem camping. I work part time for our church now as the Children's Ministry Director and do not seem to see that problem there either. Before I became a stay at home/ home schooling mom I was a teacher for 10 years. I saw that problem all the time in the schools. All I could do was pray for the leaders that acted that way.
