Nice tent but I think you could do better by purchasing a single wall tent from Six Moon Designs or Henry Shires. By choosing a solo tent I assume weight savings is your goal and a single wall tent accomplishes this. Check them out. They are not cheap but I think you can find a balance in weight savings versus cost. Plus these guys will back up their gear.

Do not have any experience with it specifically. I do use solo tents at times (just big enough for a sleeping bag say 8x3 ft.). Good brand and responsive retailer. Light weight yet full fly coverage. Biggest drawback is the pole length for a packed length of 23 inches, kinda long.

Truth be told I have my REI dividend, the 20% off coupon and gift cards totaling over a hundred bucks. They are burning a hole in my pocket.
I am not overly concerned over the weight but would like to lose some weight and pack space for my June 1 solo trip. I also wanted something large enough to be comfortable.
I have not appreciated hanging but that is another story.

My thought precisely. I switched from a solo hiking tent to a hammock and lost a few ounces of pack weight in the process."
I did a couple years ago and may never sleep on the ground again. Such pure comfort after a hard day and to wake up refreshed with no aches or pains in the morning. And also no need to find an appropriate flat spot to camp. I’ll be in Quetico in June. ? Just my .02.

Compare it with a Big Agnes Copper Spur UL1 Tent. Same tent different materials.

i looked long and hard at the UL1 yesterday. very tempting. i like the copper spur a little better though."
I'd take the Fly creek UL2- you get some decent space for just 4oz in weight. I haven't climbed in the UL1 and they were out of them at the REI I checked so I did get an idea of the packed size difference

I'll 3rd that. Have a Quarter Dome T2 plus, really nice tent, I don't use it as a solo, but I've thought about it. The sale price is a pretty hot price, and the tent being silnylon and mesh packs down to small volume in the pack.

I have used the Northface Rock 22 on all my solos, all though it a nice tent, I don't like dressing on my back in a small tent... I just ordered the Clark NX250 Hammock with their largest rain tarp... can't wait to try it this season, doubt I will solo with a tent again.

I looked at a lot of the dedicated solo tents at REI. Fly creek the lightest- hard to see if space is adequate because width requires stakes. Be careful of the length- a number of these tents are significantly shorter than others. The ULSeedhouse 1 packs the smallest, then the Fly Creek. (which is lighter)/ Seedhouse seemed slightly larger and was much cheaper. They did not have any solo Nemo's up, they did have a tandem.
