I have a list of about 20 waypoints that I want to hide or move off my list of waypoints but I dont want to delete them. Can I do this ?

This has been an occasional frustration with my Garmin 62st, also. You can selectively hide/show individual tracks, but I have not seen a menu item offering the same for waypoints.

I don't think you can hide individual waypoints. What you can do is to make the waypoint text different size (smaller). And/Or, you can change the zoom level. With the zoom level, you set the beginning zoom scale when you will start to see the waypoints.

For example, if you have the zoomed level set at 1/2 mile and you are zoomed out to 3 miles you would not see any waypoints. Then as you zoom to 2 miles, you still see no waypoints. But when you zoom to 1/2 mile all the waypoints appear.

I may of not been to clear as to what I was trying to do so I am going to give it another try. When I hit the "Where to" pad it takes me to my options. Then when I touch the "Waypoints" pad it takes me to my list of waypoints. The problem is I then have to go through the entire list to find certain waypoints. Is there a way to arrange the list of waypoints so I do not have to go through the entire list. Can I bring my Minnesota waypoints to the top of the list when I am there? Now I have to scroll down the entire list of my Illinois waypoints to get to my Minnesota spots. Very frustrating. Any suggestions?

If it's anything like my 62st, the waypoints are always listed Nearest First. A huge frustration when working with points in areas far from when you are currently, but very nice when you are 'on location.' I have mentioned to Garmin at every opportunity that I would like to be able to sort both waypoints and tracks, either alphabetically, or by distance, or be able to group them in ways I find logical.

Garmin BaseCamp is somewhat useful in this, as you can save items there, copying them into groups, then delete them from the handheld until needed. I ran into this the other day, having reached my unit's maximum number of tracks (200).

Schweady.... not jump this thread... but you seem very familiar with basecamp.

thanks!
