I am planning on paddling the entire Namekagon River in WI sometime this summer with my three kids, ages 7, 10 and 13. Planning on taking 8 days to do it. It's 100 miles.
My husband can't go, but am wondering if another family/mom and kids would like to join me?
Another option could be if you're not interested in doing all of it, but would like to paddle a part, we could meet up and paddle together for a couple of days.
Maybe a crazy idea, maybe not.

It would depend on when you are doing it. We have a cabin near one of the landings.
Now you have me kind of excited. What are the ages of your kids? Mine are 13 and 4. Depending on dates, of course, we could meet up for part of it.
I'll send you an email.

Sounds like fun, but no time off. Will be introducing my kids to that river with nojobro in May. I'm sure we'll want to go back, but there's no way to get 8 days in a row off, in addition to what I already have planned :( Sounds like a blast. I hope my kids like river paddling.

If you ladies make a plan let me know... I am pretty much out of any planning picture with school but you never know when the "homework" stars might align and allow me to meet you for a day or two, that is if you are not adverse to including boys in your mix!

One thing I just thought of...the camps along the river are not that big, if we all went together at the same time there might be some space issues. I have only stayed at one of them and I guess three tents would fit, but it would not be roomy. The camps have a fire ring and a pit toilet, just like the BW. No glass allowed but cans are ok.

Do you have date(s)set yet for this trip? My father-in-law's cabin is near Danbury. We've never paddled up there - other than the lake we're on - but would love to give it a try. Friend of mine keeps telling me we should paddle the Namekagon. We aren't up there much in the summer - far too busy with other activities - but would love to know when you'll be in that area.
