Hello Everybody,

Really excited to be heading back to my natural home and heading in from French lake. The north woods has shown me and the my brothers (once boys) the important things in life and we are finally going to get back into the north woods after a 5 yr. interruption from the land of cars. We are going after huge pike, eyes and trolling for trout, does anybody have advice through the pickerel narrows, on Pickerel or any surrounding lakes that may be little hidden gems. It is all awesome up in Quetico and I am grateful to any advice.

Thank you in advance,
Moosehopper

Have had good luck for large pike & eyes in Pickerel, just above the dam that leads to Bisk (a bit west of Rawn Narrows). Troll in and around this bay with either jointed Rapalas or Hot N Tots. Can't miss place for us...

Thank you so much,

I appreciate the info. I was up there on a 15 day solo 5 years ago. I would work the narrow flowage that goes between the two bodies of water just after passing the dam. Current= walleye= big pike. I just thought it would be great see what others have experienced in this area.

@AdamX

What are your thoughts on base camping in the narrows on the west side of Pickerel adjacent to batchewaung bay? We go for the fishing- primarily targeting walleye, lake trout, SMB, pike, in that order.

Thanks!

Love the narrows! Fished primarily lipless cranks and killed them off wind blown points. Couple years ago a buddy and me chased the smallies on their beds with tubes and had a blast.
