Since my solo will be two weeks long, I'm planning to save weight and add variety to my meals by bringing along some "Mountain House" brand freeze-dried meals. On the back of the packets I already purchased it says "feeds 2.5."

My question for those of you have used this product is: Will I be able to get two meals out of a packet, ...or will I need to use the contents of the whole packet per each meal I eat?
Thank you in advance for your help.

I can get full twice on one packet.

Before my solo trips I seperate them evenly in two ziplocks.

Yes, BB, that's what I was planning to do also - - equally divide up each packet in zip lock bags ahead of time.
Thanks!

I don't know how much you eat, but I don't eat much and even less when I'm solo. I usually go by the calories - 500 (~ the amount in a MH ProPak single) is usually plenty for me. I have a friend who eats twice as much, but he's twice as big as I am.

Try a package at home to check serving size/amount, flavor, etc.
For an item I like, I will buy the larger, multiple serving packs, to be split up at home and individually vac-sealed.

I learned here - I think maybe Jan's tip - to sift the contents through a coarse strainer, and divide the powder and small particles separately from the large - like noodles or vegetables. Works great for pasta sides.
